Care of Clothing

Washing by Hand
- Select preferably neutral and chlorine free detergents.
- Always make usage of cold water.
- In the first washes the color may bleed so new clothes should be washed separately.
- Dissolve the detergent before you place the clothes into the solution.
- Wash the clothes from the inside.
- Do not rub the clothes. Just apply gentle pressure.
- Rinse with water abundant.
- Dry from the inside and never dry by having the clothes exposed to direct sunlight.
Washing by Washing Machine
- Never mix whites and colored clothes in the washing machine.
- Always empty the pockets, open the buttons and lift the collars.
- Close all zippers and turn the clothes from the inside.
- Do not overload the washing machine.
- Do not wash in high temperatures.
Drying on a Clothline/Rack
- Hang the clothes on a drying rack from their lighter side.
- Clothes should be hanged from their inside so the color will not be directly exposed to sunlight.
- Knitwear should be wrapped in a towel and lying on a flat surface away from sunlight or heat.
Drying in a Tumble Dryer
- Fold the clothes from the outside.
- Make sure that all zippers are closed.
- Do not tumble dry knitwear.
- Always turn off the tumble dryer while clothes are a bit moist and not completely dry.
Bleaching
- Read the washing instructions on the label before bleaching.
- Bleaching should be made in cold water and last not more than an hour.
- Never bleach in any type of metal containers.
Caring of Wool Clothing
- Always dry clean.
- Wool will shrink if washed at high temperatures.
- Never tumble dry.
- Always hand wash separately for the first time.
- Always use soft detergents to avoid discoloration.
- Never wash wool in metal containers.
Caring of Linen/Flax Cothing
- Always use cold water
- It is preferable to be hand washed.
- Can be dried in a tumble dryer.
Caring of Clothing containing Artificial Fibers
- Artificial fibers may well be acetate, rayon, viscose, etc.
- Do not wash in high temperatures.
- Do not dry in tumble dryer as they will be deformed.
Caring of Clothing containing Synthetic Fibers
- Synthetic fibers may well be polyester, nylon, etc.
- Wash in warm water but never in high temperatures.
- Do not dry in a tumble dryer and do not expose to direct sunlight as the fibers will stiffen.
- Always use a neutral detergent.
